Who is more popular, Shahrukh Khan or Salman Khan?

Shahrukh Khan has more fan following than Salman Khan.

Before Bhai fans start downvoting the answer just look at the reasons below for it ;

When Salman Khan was going through his worst phase his movies used to get bomb at the box office without recovery of production cost. Currently even though SRK’s FAN had not done good business the producers were able to earn profits. A larger loyal fan following can only help a star in his tough times. So definitely SRK is having better fan following than Salman.

The overseas fan following of Salman is not even nearer to SRK. SRK has huge fan following in Europe and US while Salman’s fan following is limited to Muslim countries like UAE and Pakistan.

SRK’s dialogues are also much More popular than Salman’s B Grade dialogues. Even former US President Barack Obama had one quoted SRK’s dialogue from DDLJ , “Senorita Bade Bade Deshon Main…”. This highlights his huge fan following. He is loved by all the strata of the society.

Due to his cricket teams in IPL and CPL his popularity has increased multiple times as more and more people come to know about him.

I am not talking anything about acting skills, legacy or international fan following (NRI or otherwise), this is strictly about fan following in India

Salman’s fan say that they have higher fan following because even bad movies like Race 3, Dabangg 3, Bharat etc make money because of his mass connect.

SRK fans argue that his core audience is multiplex, female heavy fanbase who don’t go out to average outings and given a good film like Pathaan, the collections prove he is a bigger star.

I like both of them and I personally think SRK’s would be bigger. One reason I would say is the sheer number of people outside of Mannat for any/every occasion. Another is I also have interacted with more SRK fans than Salman’s.
