Khanna, revered for his portrayal of Shaktimaan in the beloved television series that aired from 1997 to 2005, expressed his disappointment with the idea of Singh stepping into the superhero’s shoes. Despite Singh neither confirming nor denying his involvement in the project, Khanna didn’t mince his words, particularly addressing the actor’s recent nude photoshoot that garnered attention. In a strongly worded social media post and subsequent YouTube  video, Mukesh Khanna advised Ranveer Singh to explore opportunities in countries like Finland or Spain, known for nudist camps, and pursue roles where nudity is prevalent.

He emphasized his resolve, stating, “I have put my foot down,” asserting that he wouldn’t permit someone like Ranveer to portray Shaktimaan, stressing the importance of casting a figure with gravitas and credibility for the role.

“Go and live in another country like Finland or Spain, that have nudist camps. Go there, open it up. Work in films where you will get to do a nude scene in every third scene.

While Khanna refrained from proposing an alternative actor for the role, he underscored the necessity of finding someone who could command respect and captivate audiences with their portrayal. Despite ongoing discussions about the revival of the Shaktimaan film, with Singh reportedly in contention for the role, Khanna’s outspoken opposition has cast doubt on the casting speculation. Whether Singh ultimately assumes the mantle of Shaktimaan remains uncertain, awaiting further developments.
