Vicky Kaushal just casually proposed to Katrina Kaif in front of the whole world and she couldn’t help but blush at this gesture.
Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal’s love story was written in the stars. Years before falling in love with each other, Vicky, being his goofy self, asked Katrina to marry him as he was hosting the Screen Awards in 2018. Just three years later, the couple celebrated their nuptials at a lavish wedding in Rajasthan.
At the Screen Awards in 2018, Vicky spoke to Katrina on the stage and asked her with a smile on his face, “Katrina, ek choti si request hai aapse. Katrina, main aapka boht bada fan hu. Aap kisi ache se Vicky Kaushal ko dhund ke shadi kyu nahi kar lete? (Katrina, I have a small request. I am a big fan. Why don’t you find a good Vicky Kaushal and get married to him?)” As Vicky said this, Salman started laughing in the audience.
Vicky then asked her, “Shaadiyo ka season chal raha tha. Mujhe laga aapka bhi mann kar raha hoga toh maine kaha puch leta hu. (The wedding season is on. I thought you must be thinking about getting married too so I will ask you.)” When Katrina laughed and asked him, “Kya? (What?),” the music of “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi” started playing in the background and Salman broke into laughter in the audience.
Vicky Kaushal then started singing Salman Khan’s popular song “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi” and this got a smile on Katrina Kaif’s face as well. Hearing this, Salman pretended to faint on his sister Arpita’s shoulder who was sitting next to him at the award ceremony. Katrina then responded to Vicky and said, “Himmat nahi hai (Don’t have the courage.)” Salman then pretended to wake up from his fainting spell and Vicky smiled on stage. The whole bit ended with Salman clapping for Vicky and Katrina on stage.
Soon after this, Vicky and Katrina started dating each other. The couple got married in 2021 and never spoke about their relationship until they tied the knot.
