Katrina Kaif had clearly refused to work with Vivek Oberoi and had said that what he did with Salman Khan was absolutely wrong. The actress was dating Khan at that point in time!
Salman Khan and Vivek Oberoi had a huge feud when the latter said at a press conference that Salman was threatening him as he was dating Aishwarya Rai. Vivek later also apologised to the actor but all is not well between the two. The ‘Company’ actor also lost out on a lot of work due to this feud. Recently, Vivek spoke about it at India Global Forum, London and said, “I got a lot of success, I was winning a lot of awards in my career and suddenly it evaporated because a bunch of people, who had a lot of power in Bollywood, decided ‘You are not going to work here anymore, we will make sure that happens’.
I experienced a lot of frustration and pain and anger and felt like a victim; and I didn’t know how to deal with it.”
Amidst Vivek’s latest statement, an old video of Katrina has now gone viral. The actress was asked about working with Vivek in an interview and she had completely refused to do so. Katrina had said, “I understand, and I wouldn’t work with Vivek Oberoi. What he said and did with Salman was wrong. If somebody hasn’t done anything wrong, in my opinion, I’d still let them be colleagues with me. But what Vivek did was genuinely wrong.”
She was further asked by a journalist if her decision to not work with Vivek has come under Salman’s influence. She gave a witty response to it saying, “I will give Salman’s secretary’s phone number, and you are free to ask all such questions to him.”
Katrina had made this statement when she was dating Salman. The duo dated for a couple of years, post which they parted ways amicably and continue to remain friends. Katrina was later dating Ranbir Kapoor for six years after breaking up with Salman. Post which, the actress is now happily married to Vicky Kaushal. The duo tied the knot in December 2021.
