Nawazuddin Siddiqui, one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood is a complete outsider but has worked with Bollywood’s A-listers like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. The Gangs Of Wasseypur actor recently engaged in an exclusive conversation with Zoom and spoke about his experience working with Salman Bhai in Bajrangi Bhaijaan. He also revealed that the scene in which Salman Khan had to carry Nawazzudin Siddiqui, was very difficult.

In an exclusive conversation with Zoom’s Rudrani Chattoraj, Nawazuddin spoke about how there was very little oxygen during a scene in Bajrangi Bhaijaan where Salman Khan had to carry him. He said, “Oh my god, yeh scene aise tha na, yeh pahad itna slope mein, aur thak chuke the humlog. Oxygen ka problem tha, toh thoda sa chalke hi, thak jaate the. Fir kabir bhai ne bola chalo, baith jao. Fir baith gye, badhiya maza aaya.( Oh my god, this scene was very tiring, we had to climb a slope and all of us were tired. There was problem with Oxygen and after walking a little bit, Kabir bhai said, just sit down and then we sat and had lots of fun.)”

He also spoke about his experience working with Salman Khan and said, “Yeh shoot amazing tha actually, Bajrangi Bhaijaan ka. Salman bhai ke filmon ka mohol bahut accha hota hai. We sit together and eat post shoot. (The shoot was amazing, of Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s. Salman Bhai’s films are always fun. )”

Nawazuddin On Working With Salman, Aamir And Shah Rukh

In an old interview, he also spoke about working with the Khans of Bollywood. He said, “Of course, working with them is a very entertaining experience. Whenever Bhai [Salman Khan] calls me for a film and I say, ‘I don’t enjoy the script’, he offers me another option. For him, he wants me to work in a film that he is producing. If such a big superstar talks humbly to me, I will feel that they consider me their own. It is their greatness that, whether it is Salman [Khan], Shah Rukh Khan, or Aamir, they call me whenever there is a content-driven film. This is probably because they know me and the kind of work I do. They know me personally and what kind of a person I am. That’s why the bonding is strong.”
