During this interview, Jaya Bachchan had told what kind of relationship they share. She had said that she never does any trickery or gossip behind Aishwarya’s back. She said that there is a friendly relationship between her and Aishwarya. We both are good friends. If I don’t like something about her, I tell her directly. I don’t say anything behind her back. And if she doesn’t agree with me on something, she also says it clearly in front of me. Jaya admitted that sometimes she becomes a little dramatic, but the other person should show a little more respect.

Jaya further said that she is getting old now. She also told that she enjoys sitting at home and talking, but this is only between her and her husband. However, they do not have much time. Aishwarya enjoys whatever she does. Jaya also talked about Aishwarya in the throwback ‘Koffee with Karan’ episode. Then she said that when Amitji sees Aishwarya, his eyes light up with happiness, as if he is seeing his daughter Shweta coming home.

Jaya Bachchan further said that Aishwarya filled the void that was felt after Shweta’s marriage. We could never accept that Shweta is not in the family, is outside and is not a part of the Bachchan family. This is difficult. Praising her daughter-in-law, Jaya said, ‘She is very sweet, I love her very much. She herself is a big star and has made her place in the family very well. She is a strong woman and has a lot of dignity.’
