Priyanka Chopra Jonas is an Indian actress, model, and singer. She gave a bold speech at the event organized by Variety. He gave a speech about her work dedicated to girl child education.

Is the education of girls a waste of money? What are some points to write and examples?

It begs the question…are girls less deserving of fulfillment as a human being than men? Less deserving of their dreams? Less deserving of their ambitions? Less deserving of education?

I’ve probably seen more guys squander their education than women in my life. Ask the question both ways.

If your bias is “well, she’s gonna get pregnant anyway and she won’t be a productive cog in the wheel.” You’re missing a huge part of humanity. Men, fathers, are also sharing the load, from conception to rearing. Your bias in the question suggest that of gender roles under strict mores is the only one to be followed. At the least, it’s flawed. At the worst, it’s catastrophic.

I am the dad of two daughters. I tried to give them every opportunity and chance to find and fulfill their dreams. Had I had sons I would have done the same.

As a parent I wanted them to be smarter than me. I wanted them to be happier than me. It wasn’t about how much they could earn. It wasn’t about me at all. I made the commitment to them.

So, was it a waste? No! Both are happily married, both have children, both are earning more per year than I ever did. You imply that last part in your question. But it isn’t about money and it never should be.

She ain’t chattel, she isn’t a possession. She definitely isn’t a slave.

If I had not invested the time and money into my daughters I might be a rich man. I’m not rich, but I am very wealthy because of them.

If you can’t tell the difference between rich and wealthy, then I submit that the money and time invested in your education was a total waste.

Because some cultures view it that way. The real question is, why? I’ll give 5 reasons for that:

if a female child is educated past the time they begin mensturating, they are in school rather than having babies

men see educated women as a threat

an educated woman would educate her children, regardless of sex

a person who goes to school during bthe day isn’t home to do domestic duties

educating males and not educating females allows for males to continue to subjugate women and perpetuate this cycle

There may be many other reasons. A woman’s education isn’t a waste of resources. A woman helped discover DNA. Women help send people to the moon. A woman invented the technology that would be used for WiFi and Bluetooth technologies. Women make powerful impacts that change the world, and our entire would would be very different were these women not educated.

No one’s education is a waste of resources.
