Throwback : When Priyanka Chopra allegedly reacted to Shah Rukh Khan's statement on not moving to Hollywood: 'Comfortable is boring...'

Priyanka Chopra has made her mark in Hollywood

Priyanka Chopra has been immersed in filming her upcoming movie ‘The Bluff’ in Australia for several months. However, the actress isn’t feeling homesick, as she is accompanied by her mother, Madhu Chopra, and her daughter, Malti Marie Jonas Chopra. Recently, Priyanka shared glimpses of her life in Australia, highlighting moments when she returns home to a bustling kitchen where her mom prepares delicious desi meals, with little Malti assisting in making chapatis.

Priyanka posted a series of photos and videos on Instagram, beginning with a selfie that shows her wearing padding before performing the film’s daredevil stunts.

Previously, in an interview at SXSW 2023, Priyanka discussed her journey and how she achieved success in Hollywood. During the conversation, the interviewer mentioned the reluctance of many Indian stars to move to Hollywood, citing Shah Rukh Khan’s sentiment, “Why should I go there (Hollywood), I’m comfortable here.” The interviewer then asked how Priyanka managed to navigate the American entertainment industry. Priyanka responded, “Comfortable is boring to me.”

She elaborated, “I am not arrogant, but self-assured. I know what I am doing when I walk onto a set. I don’t need validation from executives. I am willing to take auditions, I am willing to work. I do not carry the baggage of my success in one country when I walk into another.”

Priyanka further emphasised that her ego does not overshadow her job. The ‘Bajirao Mastani’ star proudly stated, “I am very professional and if you ask people around me, I am known for my professionalism. I take pride in it.” She also expressed gratitude for her father, who had a military background and taught her the importance of discipline and not taking things for granted.

Following his departure, Priyanka’s mother, Madhu Chopra, flew in to support her. In July, Priyanka took a short break from shooting to attend the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Mumbai.

Professionally, Priyanka is eagerly anticipating the release of ‘Heads of State’, where she stars alongside John Cena and Idris Elba. Additionally, she is producing the documentary ‘Born Hungry’, which narrates the true story of Sash Simpson, a young Indian who runs away from home, is adopted by a Canadian family, and eventually becomes the chef-owner of a trendy restaurant in Toronto.
