Priyanka Chopra opened up on working with Sunny Deol in The Hero.

Priyanka Chopra began her acting career alongside Vijay in the Tamil film Thamizhan. Her second movie, The Hero: Love Story of a Spy, featuring Sunny Deol in the lead role, marked her Hindi film debut. Recently, an old video of the actor resurfaced on the internet, where she discussed her experience working with the Gadar star and how the two maintained a reserved demeanour during the shoot.

“I was excited to work with Sunny Deol. He is a senior actor and I respect him a lot as an actor,” Priyanka said in the interview. She elaborated on how she and Sunny kept their distance while shooting the film. “I was very reserved from Sunny. We would sit in different corners. We would just ‘Hello’ and ‘Hi’ and that’s all. Even when I would talk to him, I would look down and look up and look down while speaking to him. But once we got comfortable with each other, then it was all good,” she said.

The Hero: Love Story of a Spy didn’t fare well at the box office and received harsh criticism. However, Priyanka’s second film Andaaz with Akshay Kumar gained acclaim and made her an overnight sensation. The film was also a box office success.

Following her successful stint in Hindi films, Priyanka Chopra transitioned to Hollywood, where she starred in the American TV show Quantico in 2015. Since then, she has appeared in Hollywood films such as Baywatch, Matrix: Revolutions, Love Again, Citadel, and more. Priyanka recently wrapped up filming her upcoming Hollywood project, The Bluff. She also has Head of State in the pipeline, which also stars John Cena and Idris Elba.
