Aftab Shivdasani has teamed up with Urvashi Rautela for the sequel of the romantic-horror film ‘Kasoor’, marking his return to the iconic 2001 hit. The actor is celebrating his 46th birthday on June 25.

On his birthday on June 25, Aftab Shivdasani announced that he is returning with the sequel of ‘Kasoor’. The film stars Urvashi Rautela as the female lead. Aftab’s 2001 film ‘Kasoor’ with Lisa Ray was a sleeper hit. However, the songs were immensely popular and continue to be iconic to date.

Aftab, while sharing photos from ‘Kasoor 2’ sets, wrote, “On this special day, as I turn a year older, the only gift i ask for is your love and blessings. Thank you for all the love over the years. I’m very grateful and blessed to be working on this birthday on a very special film that means a lot to me. Love and gratitude. #kasoor (sic).”

Described as a psychological horror story, ‘Kasoor’ revolves around three characters. The film is directed by Glen Barretto and written by Mudassar Aziz, with Bablu Aziz presenting the project. An additional male lead actor is expected to be confirmed soon.

Confirming the sequel of ‘Kasoor’, producer Asif Shaikh said, “It’s a very unique concept—a musical romance horror. When Aftab heard the story, he was very excited about the subject. The audience will see Aftab Shivdasani in a very different role on the silver screen. It’s an author-backed role, and we are in the process of finalizing one female lead and another male lead alongside Aftab. The announcement for these roles will follow soon.”

The film’s release date hasn’t been revealed yet.
