Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have been married to over two years and are blessed with a daughter Raha. Before getting married to Alia and even dating her, the Animal actor was in a much-publicized relationship with Katrina Kaif. They began seeing each other on the sets of Raajneeti that led to his break up with Deepika Padukone. Ranbir and Katrina were together for over six years before parting ways and nobody knows what happened. There were many rumours floating around. One of the reasons that popped up was Alia Bhatt.

Ranbir and Alia came close sometime around 2017-2018 when they were working on Ayan Mukerji’s ambitious superhero drama Brahmastra. And the actress broke her silence on being the cause of the aforementioned breakup.

The actress was quoted saying, “I read that I was the cause of the Ranbir-Katrina breakup. It was so ridiculous that I didn’t think it needed a clarification.” Alia and Katrina have been close friends and they even came together on Neha Dhupia’s chat show No Filter Neha.

Katrina spoke to Neha Dhupia. “I’m not trying to be saintly but it’s always easier to just make peace, be friends, to be loving. I’m not doing this to make your life easier. But I’m doing it to make my life is easier. It genuinely is more peaceful and you feel lighter and happier when you don’t hold on to any anger or grudges,” were the actress’ words.

In fact, Ranbir Kapoor recently spoke about his past relationships in an interview with Nikhil Kamath and said he dated two very successful actress and his image became that of a cheater. The quote went viral on social media in no time and people literally began dissecting every word he uttered on that podcast.

There were rumours the film was shelved. But in one her interviews, the Raazi actress clarified, “I think the intention to make that film is from everybody’s perspective… very, very strong. So just the nature of the subject and we are talking about collaboration earlier when I was talking about Ed… here is a really strong team of collaborators coming together. So the intention is make it happen.”

The actress went on, “Sometime there is a time and place for everything and you just have to wait for the right time to come together. But I think the intention in everybody’s hearts is to make sure that this film hits the big screen, some day or the other.”
