According to information from Pinkvilla, Karan Johar shared details of his disagreement with Kareena, which revolved around his film “Kal Ho Naa Ho,” featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, and Saif Ali Khan. This clash occurred in 2003, resulting in more than a year and a half of no communication between them. Their reconciliation only happened after Karan’s father was diagnosed with cancer.
Upon hearing about Karan’s father’s illness, Kareena reached out to him. Karan remembered her words: “I don’t know what to say,” to which he replied, “Don’t say anything; I know you’re there.” When his father passed away, Kareena was in Bangkok, but as soon as she returned from her shoot, she visited Karan’s home.
Karan Johar disclosed that they spent the entire night talking and reconciled. He admitted,
“When we fought, I had sworn never to speak to her again.”
Regarding Kajol, Karan confessed that they hadn’t communicated for two years. It was only after his twins were born that he decided to reach out to her.
“I said you don’t need to reply, but these are what my children look like – Yash and Roohi,” Karan recalled. Kajol’s response was heartwarming, as she said, “I am just full of love.” A month later, she invited him to her birthday celebration. They embraced, shed tears, and mended their friendship, bringing the rift to a close.
Notably, both Kajol and Kareena Kapoor Khan will be making appearances on Koffee With Karan season 8.
